The modem installation will not interfere with your Internet connection from the modem is only used to call, fax machines and not on the Internet Service Provider (ISP).
Your PC with the ADSL modem with a Cat-5 network cable connected, so I have connected a modem to your PC. The inner voice / fax modem is only used if the fax software is defined (usually as a printer) needs to send or receive a fax.
Just be sure not to use the internal modem to connect to your ISP connection.
