The flash memory is not volitale RAM or memory that does not again lose information when your computer is off. RAM should last longer, much more than a hard drive, but you can possibly go wrong. If you have a flash-based MP3 players like the iPod Shuffle or iPod Nano Drop, provided it does not go far enough (a large building?) To break the record, there should be no damage to the songs / stored information.
